The monthly duty cycle is the maximum number of pages a printer can print per month without breaking down.  You can often find this on the printer specs table on the printer manufacturer web page.  Monthly duty cycle varies across printer models.  If your office prints a lot, you will want to make sure you buy a printer with a generous monthly duty cycle (in the thousands of pages).  If you don’t print often, you probably will never reach your printer’s monthly duty cycle, so it shouldn't be a concern.
